Who is the fairest of them all in Australia?

Well, we’re talking about coffee companies here – so who would it be? Who reigns supreme? In the news recently, the Veneziano coffee roasting company has been touting for the title. The company has raised its profile in the barista championships in Queensland, which is one of the reasons for the news stories.
So what happened at the championships? All over the world, there are various regional championships underway to find the best of the best in each nation’s barista population, to go forward to the World Barista Championships in Vienna next year. At the Queensland championships in Australia, Jean Paul Sutton came third and Adrian Zucker, who also works at the Veneziano roaster, took second place in the latte art section. These are not the only Veneziano champions – from Victoria, Craig Simon and Jen Marks will also compete against their colleagues for the title.
In addition, Mike Wells has just been appointed as the company’s head barista in one of the Adelaide shops – and Mr Wells has also recently earned his spurs in the coffee industry by coming second in the South Australian Barista Championships.
The company apparently takes the education of its staff into the intricacies of the world of coffee very seriously. They are said to invest substantially in educating their staff so that they are aware of issues such as the location and geography of a coffee bean, the relevant climate and the processing stages too.
