New Barista reality series planned

The world has recently gone a little ‘reality TV’ crazy. From the worldwide phenomenon of Big Brother, to the endless reality competitions (Dine with Me, Masterchef and so on), it seems that we just can’t get enough of entertainment via the japes and dramas of ordinary people put in unusual situations.
And now, there is a new reality show in the offing according to many of the recent US headlines. Baristas Coffee Company, Inc has been in the news after it announced that it had agreed with M&M Productions to develop a series involving the lives of baristas.
Of course, there will have been a lot of research to develop the idea and, according to reports, the initial filming for casting and character development is starting. The series also benefits from the producer Mark Mayer, who has won an Emmy award.
The rumours are that some of the stars of the new series are to be ladies who have not been hit with the ugly stick and who have lives of high drama to keep the interest of the viewers.
The concept of the show is appealing and strikes to the heart of many of the preferences of the world at the moment. Of course, coffee is something of an attraction too: so many social gatherings take place around the concept of coffee-drinking. Dates take place there, business meetings, family and friend get-togethers – there is also many a sit-com which has an appropriate coffee place to drink. Think of Central Perk in the Friends show for instance.
