Summertime Strawberry Suggestions

 strawberry

For a nation that is synonymous with grey clouds and prolonged downpours, we haven’t been doing too bad recently have we? Yesterday, temperatures exceeded 35°C in some parts of the country making it the hottest day on record in almost a decade. After a stuttering start to the season, summer is finally here.

Down in SW19 the All England Club tournament (better known to us all as Wimbledon) is underway and that means that strawberries are entering the nation’s spotlight.

sse16cA firm favourite – something we can say with a fair level of scientific accuracy – when it comes to flavour, we’ve got a couple of coffee-shop and café friendly recipes to pass on that will allow you to serve up a slice of strawberries and get a piece of the hot weather action.

The majority of these recipes require a shot or two of Sweetbird’s Strawberry syrup. The syrup is made without any High Fructose Corn Syrup, is free from any artificial preservative and colours and is GMO free! Best of all, it’s suitable for both vegetarians and vegans!

And – because the goodness doesn’t stop there! – it is available at a special web-only price of £6.99 per litre bottle. Woof!

So without further ado, here we go with some sizzling summertime strawberry thirst quenchers.
