Schaerer

Initially founded in Berne in 1892, Schaerer manufactured their first coffee machine for commercial use in 1924.

In the ninety years since the group released their maiden coffee machine Schaerer has been responsible for numerous industry innovations that have since become commonplace.

In 1970, they debuted a bean to cup machine that featured an integrated grinder and dosing unit, and in 1997, they introduced the first automatic cappuccino system.

Thanks to these advancements, Schaerer was one of the first companies to capitalise on the growing coffee market that was starting to demand a wide range of milk-based specialities.

This commitment to invention has since seen Schaerer become part of the wider WMF group though the Swiss manufacturer remains an independent entity that follows their own tried, tested and successful path.

Schaerer's most well-known coffee machines are the Coffee Prime and the Coffee Art.

Both of these premium models come fitted with an intuitive 7" touchscreen, can be optimised for self-service or operator use, and can be customised to offer up to forty different drinks.

The Coffee Art is available in four different configurations which range from the barista-style Supersteam model through to the multi-talented Flavour Point that can create milkshakes, hot chocolates and flavoured coffees alongside the traditional favourites.

The Prime, on the other hand, is prepped for quick service environments and its fresh ingredient model is fitted with a revolutionary disposable milk system which removes the need for elongated cleaning procedures.

Today, Schaerer machines are found in a number of high-profile businesses, such as Costa Coffee Express stores and Premier Inns.
