How to make the perfect Pimm’s

How to make the perfect Pimm's

On a hot summer day there is no alcoholic drink quite like the quintessentially British Pimm’s and Lemonade (Pimm’s cup to our American friends), commonplace at events like Wimbledon and Ascot, we’re going to show you how to make this perfect Summer staple.

To mark the 10th anniversary Sweetbird, the superb smoothie and syrup producing company have released their very first lemonade syrups alongside a brand new celebratory range of 100% fruit and vegetable smoothies – including the refreshing combinations of Raspberry, Blackcurrant & Beetroot; Peach, Spinach & Ginger and Mango, Carrot & Orange.

But more on those later…

You’re here for Pimm’s O’clock!

Trust us when we say, you can’t go wrong with this!

What you’ll need

  • 2 shots of Sweetbird Lemonade Syrup (50ml)
  • Sparkling water (600ml)
  • Pimm’s No 1 (200ml)
  • Ice (enough to fill a jug)
  • Mint
  • Cucumber
  • Oranges (sliced)
  • Strawberries (sliced)
  • A jug

Recipe

  1. Mix the Sweetbird Lemonade Syrup with the sparkling water
  2. Add the ice, mint, strawberries, oranges and cucumber to the empty jug.
  3. Pour 200ml (1 part) Pimm’s No 1 to the jug
  4. Now top with the pre-mixed lemonade (600ml or 3 parts)
  5. Stir well and pour into serving glasses
  6. Enjoy!

The secret to making the perfect Pimm’s is the 3 to 1 ratio! If you don’t believe us then let the experts themselves explain!

With less sugar than traditional lemonade, without compromising on flavour, Sweetbird’s Lemonade Syrup contains no added sugar or artificial colours meaning a fruity and delicious Pimm’s without the toothache!
