Coffee Tasting

In the recent boom of artisan coffee, gourmet recipes and hand roasted beans it is not surprising that in the wake of this, ‘coffee tasting’ as a pastime is quickly becoming as popular with the coffee enthusiasts as wine tasting has been previously.

Sometimes referred to as ‘cupping’ there are experiences and even courses all over the country dedicated to showcasing the very best blends and methods of brewing the perfect cup of coffee.

One of the most revered and offering the most extensive variety would be the London Coffee Festival, Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, running from the 3rd to 6th April 2014.

The Lab stage offers a platform for demonstrations, workshops and invites debates throughout the festival.

There is the opportunity to witness first-hand the cutting edge art and science that goes into creating new taste sensations, hear up and coming resolution theory behind some of the ethical issues surrounding production and relax with a perfectly prepared cup of coffee.

Tickets range in price from £9.50 to £19.50 so it doesn’t have to break the bank balance, a fantastic day out and opportunity to see and hear more of the up and coming new coffee related discoveries for the whole family.
