Sweetbird Chai Syrup

Description

Sweetbird Chai Syrup is a warming and satisfying mix of spices that includes the kick of ginger and cinnamon with some smoother notes of cloves and cardamom.

Chai is a flavoured tea-style beverage that originated in India but has since spread across the globe as its popularity has soared. With its balance of spice this chai syrup can be used to spice up lattes or cappuccinos, or as an ingredient to compliment other flavours - everybody should be saying chai there!

Chai Americano

You'll need

• Double pump of Sweetbird Chai Syrup
• Double espresso
• Hot water

Method

1. Add syrup to a cup
2. Fill with water (but leave an espresso sized gap)
3. Pour in the espresso

Almond Chai Mocha

Chocolate, the spiciness of chai and the subtle taste of almonds. You might think that these flavours shouldn't work together, but the reality is that they really do.

You'll need

• 2 shots of Chai Syrup
• 1 shot of Sweetbird Almond Syrup
• 1 shot of Sweetbird Chocolate Sauce
• Steamed milk

Method

1. Mix the syrups together
2. Add the milk
3. Give it all a quick stir and then serve
4. Optional: Finish the drink off with a sprinkling of cinnamon and/or chocolate powder
